Download Day 2008 - Pledge Counter Widget

This is a customizable widget in order to display the Download Day 2008 pledge rankings on your website/blog.

In order to customize the widget, you can change both its properties, and its styles.  The properties configure the text shown in the widget, how many rankings to show, whether or not specific columns should appear, etc.  The styles control the visual appearance of the widget, such as its font, colors, borders, etc.  In order to correctly specify style values, a basic knowledge of CSS would be helpful.

In the table below, the first column holds the property/style names, the second columns holds text boxes which can be used to change the default values (and are initially filled with default values) and the third column contains a description of the property/style, as well as its possible and default values.  One property which needs special attention is the jQuery property.  If your site uses the jQuery JavaScript library, you should set this to false.  Otherwise, it should be left as true.  If you're unsure, leave it true, which makes users download two copies of the library at the worst case.

The code which should be pasted in your web page appears below the table, and is updated automatically as you change the values in the table.  At any time, you can click the Preview button below the table in order to preview your customizations in a new window.  Your changes will not be discarded by this action, and you can continue customizing the widget and preview your changes again.
